New Mexico Muzzleloader Trophy Mule Deer Hunt - 2017
September 27 - October 1
1x1 $4,750 and 2x1 $4,250
This is a draw hunt for 2015. Everyone always draws. Application deadline is March, 2016. Bear available for $500 trophy fee.
I’ve got some great bucks in September! Scopes, sabots and in-lines are legal. This is the very best time to kill a trophy buck with The Brand. A 175 + buck is a reasonable expectation. Bucks will be in bachelor herds, and 90% will be out of velvet. Great hunt in big buck country! Rio Arriba County, with 40% more mule deer B & C entries than any other county in America. We usually take one or two “boomers” on this hunt.
Rifle Antelope Hunt - 2017
$1,950 if you draw,$2,950 if landowner authorization is needed.
This is a really great hunt for families and friends. Lots of antelope. In fact, it will be 100% shooting at quality bucks. Last year we went 13 for 13, and over the past eight seasons, 120 for 120. We will “camp” at the Best Western in Clayton, NM (Northeast New Mexico) and eat restaurant breakfasts, bag lunches and restaurant dinners. Hunters have a choice—some will put in for the outfitters’ draw for private land antelope authorizations (just like our elk authorizations here in Chama). Everyone will get to hunt. Others will book for the private land ranches on which we have long term leases. The outfitter draw has a March deadline. Applications will be sent in March. Fly to Amarillo, TX and drive 1.5 hours to Clayton
